2019-08-22 07:00:19 She was almost 3 years younger than me, but I never much paid attention to her until about halfway through the show's run. Suddenly, I had a mad crush on her. Damn, she was beautiful. Also, despite her troubles, I can't remember ANYONE EVER saying that she was ANYTHING other than kind, compassionate, sweet as hell, and just a total doll and a caring, beautiful angel. I think that she never really felt loved, and couldn't understand why total strangers were so cruel to her. I mean, her real mom gave her away, and her adoptive parents put her to work making commercials as soon as she was old enough to sit upright. They had her in over ONE HUNDRED commercials before she had even lost her baby teeth! They worked her like a mule and spent all of her earnings "caring for her." That poor, beautiful angel never had a chance. RIP, sweet, beautiful angel, Dana. I loved you.

2021-12-07 10:28:31 Thanks for sharing that, I didn't know all of that from her childhood, so sad!! Sounds like her adoptive parents went to the same school Gary Coleman's parents did, you know the one,it's the "Work your @$$ off kid & we'll sit back & enjoy the your money." Just sad!!!

2023-09-14 13:18:18 Just saw the opening for a Season 8 episode. Didn't watch it because I was on my way out, but the very last shot of the into was a family photo and Dana kicked up her foot at the very end. Got to see about half of her left foot, in nylons, but hey, it was nice. Had a huge crush on her back then, although I was barely a teen at the time of this episode (1985).
