2018-09-21 03:08:35 She looks amazing!

2018-04-04 16:19:49 Some perspective
She’s 81 years old. Don’t know when this pic was taken but looks recent She should never put that withered old hand next to her botoxed and filtered face. Complete contrast. Her feet, considering her age, quite nice, and you are never too old to wear a tor ring eh?!?! |
2018-04-04 18:04:53 I'm nostalgic for a time when girls in their 20's didn't look like Amanda Lepore and women in their 80's accepted the fact that they were old and didn't try to stay 35 forever. Bea Arthur had a facelift in the 1970's but she knew when to quit. You can't overdo it with plastic surgery without eventually looking freakish. Michael Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Joan Rivers... Need I say more?
Angelina Jolie and the affordability of plastic surgery have done more to ruin the looks of women than anything I can think of. Once plastic surgery became affordable for the average woman, and once Angelina Jolie became famous, women everywhere started trying to have the largest lips imaginable, with predictably bad results. Anyway, it's one of the things about the present day that really bothers me. This misguided quest to be beautiful has had the paradoxical effect of making an awful lot of good looking women look ugly. Compare a few pictures of Nikki Cox before and after having plastic surgery and you'll see what I mean. |
2018-05-13 21:35:43 Well, to me, the answer is to talk to the media. Talk to studios. Talk to people under 30. And never forget, the real evil here isn't botox or plastic surgeons or peoples' poor sense of aesthetics - it's rampant ageism that has people seeing age as the enemy. Educating people about that doesn't start with 40 year olds, it starts with 16 year olds.
The internet shares blame for facilitating a culture of millions of trolls, none of whom ever has to show their faces, to spend all their spare time verbally fire bombing those who make or have made a career of showing their faces. It's a full-blown national past time now, a cottage industry (check the before and after websites), and a kind of sickness. Still trying to figure out when it became OK to go on and on and on ad nauseum about the way public figures look. |
2018-05-22 19:27:36 @Respect I agree with everything you said in your first paragraph. I understand that actors and models always have to fear losing gigs because they're aging. I understand why that leads them to keep the plastic surgeons in business. And I hate ageism as much as anyone. That's why I said I wish women in their 80's would accept that they were old wouldn't try to look 35 forever.
I don't know if you're referring to me when you talk about someone going on and on ad nauseam about the way public figures look. If so, I would say that two small paragraphs about the subject of plastic surgery hardly seems like going "on and on and on ad nauseum [sic]". What can I tell you? For the past 20 years or so, day in and day out, I've been confronted with the sight of women who look like fish or something akin to The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Am I supposed to keep my mouth shut for the next 30 years and never vent lest I offend some holier than thou type like you? If you're offended by seeing people comment on the appearance of celebrities, what on earth are you doing on this website? How is it OK for you to pick apart the appearance of some celebrity's feet and then jump all over someone else for saying something about the appearance of some celebrity's face? Your sanctimoniousness would probably get you the admiration you crave at a woman's march but it seems out of place on a website for people to talk about the appearance of female celebrities' feet. |

2018-09-03 21:35:09 I cat help but think that the duckface and stupid animal noses/ears other snapchat edits so popular with millennials/post-milleials aren't someow connected to all that and are a harbinger for something far more scary.
There is one female celeb who I cant remember, and likely many others, who is very slowly starting to look lie Donatella Versace, who apparently didn't always look like a swamp monster. |
2018-09-04 04:44:06 @Cthulhu It's a bummer to see what happened to Nikki Cox. As for the clip you posted, Escape from L.A., it made me think of people who've had face transplants. I can't help being creeped out by the whole thing. Whenever you see one of those people you realize that you're looking at a face that was taken from a cadaver. Then there are all of the medical problems and potential medical problems. I've read about people who've had that done and I don't envy them one bit. I think I'd rather die, to be honest.
As for the animal features you mention, I think you're onto something. I recall seeing a guy who had himself made to look like a lizard. I kid you not. He had 2 steel balls put under the skin on his head to look like horns. His tongue was sliced so he'd have a forked tongue. He had his face and neck tattooed green and in a pattern that resembled scales. I think he had his teeth sharpened to look like fangs. And he may have had his eyeballs tattooed. I can't recall every detail exactly because I saw this on TV sometime between 2000 and 2006. I can't help but wonder if he'll eventually regret doing all of that. |

2018-09-06 13:09:14 @Cthulhu I don't have much respect for these guys. I think they're idiots, to be honest. I worked with a guy who had a swastika tattoo between his thumb and his index finger. He tried to pull that, "this is a Native American symbol" crap, which I found hard to believe since he was an ex-con and judging by the appearance of this swastika. This wasn't some crude, Native American symbol. This was something that came straight off of a German army uniform. I recall thinking, "Good luck getting that bank teller's job."
