I doubt it. This is a kid's show, so there's nothing sexual about it. Kids play games with their feet all the time, so it probably came from that.

Yeah there are kids with foot fetishes. But that doesn't mean they did this for fetish purposes. Like I'm sure that Jim Henson didn't create Sesame Street with furries in mind. Plus they only did a foot segment on the show like once a season. So it wasn't every episode had tons of foot content, like people make it seem. They wore sneakers 99% of the time.
