@Vizzy- I don't know, but feel free to change Emma's 'nationality' to French. I guess users just 'assumed' she was British by birth. The rule does make for a few 'oddball' nationalities like US Citizens born abroad during parents' living abroad due to military station, etc.

You can be British by birth even if you are not born in the UK. The whole citizenship and nationality thing can be quite confusing at times. However, it says birthplace on each celebrity's profile so I believe that country of birth should be there instead of nationality.

Digging up a thread from almost ten years ago to try and cloud the simple method the owner of the site came up with prevent people from bickering about nationality. Way to go, guys. There's nothing confusing about it at all. Birthplace is the name of the counry (at the time of birth) where the celebrity was born. That's it. This isn't a legal proceeding. Nationalities, citizenship, military bases have nothing to do with it. Hope this helps.
