No, I read 3 different translator renditions of the Turkish phrase and think I have a sense for what is meant. Hell, even two people speaking English can misread what each other is trying to convey.

I use Google Translate almost exclusively now. Used to use BabelFish (back when it was on AltaVista search engine/web portal). Sterne has one he likes but I forget what it is. It seemed to be mostly for French/English as I recall, or just the Romance languages maybe.

Mine too. When something is unclear, I use this because of the back translation feature and side-by-side of three different engines. http://imtranslator.net/compare/english/to-russian/translation/# It's just set to my default.

@Jim- I like that idea! I'll try it for awhile. It's like those side-by-side Bible translations... Just pick the one you like the best that makes your point in an argument! (I actually own a three-volume 26 Translations!)
