Yeah! Hikaru is highly Americanised, so she isn't the most typical old-school idol, but still she is a good example of what that period was about! Back then, idols meant more to fans than they do these days, and the old-school idols themselves understood this and had better attitudes in response.

I used to just ignore the school girl look cause I enjoy the beauty of Asian women recently I watched a documentary called Japanese school girls for sale what happens to alot of those girls is horrible.

@Grik That's what I'm saying, this applies whether it's old idols or new idols, so it's not like it's exclusively an 80s' thing. @footsiefoot reborn You are talking about actual exploited school girls. Idols are professional artists who merely sometimes wear school uniforms for commercials, merchandise or acting. Big difference. In fact many idols sign employment contracts that forbid them from sexual relations, so don't worry.
