Was lucky enough to share the 60's with Joan, saw her a few times in concert and twice on demonstrations. Remember she had a fling with Bob Dylan. She was 'authentic' barefoot, just prancing and marching as if barefoot was her natural state. Which, as it turns out, it was! Loved her singing, loved her voice, loved her feet.

For her age, she's got considerably nice feet!

You'd think there'd be more pictures considering how often she went barefoot.

Do you think Joan realized that men were going wild over her feet? Do you think she ever intentionally "flirted" with her feet, to drive men even wilder? I say yes and yes. Until recently, I thought Joan was always very serious with her protesting and social activism, back in the day, so not a very happy woman. I was wrong. I recently read how she was very assertive, very direct in her approach, when she wanted to "have fun" with some men.

If you like natural/hippie style feet, you can't go wrong with Joan Baez. When I was a kid, my parents had some Joan Baez LPs from the early and mid 60s and she was always showing off her nice bare feet on the album cover and in the album inserts. I think those photos made an impression on my young mind.
