2023-11-01 17:14:44 Epistolary1296 posted "I know people keep citing 'Crawl' and 'Tiger House' in relation to Kaya spending a significant amount of her screentime in bare feet, but it is worth reminding people about that 'Walking Stories' short that premiered in 2013 (both the individual episodes and the complete short film); there may not be that much barefoot material compared to 'Crawl' or 'Tiger House' (Salvatore Ferragamo is in the business of making and selling luxury shoes after all), and it is of the #barefootinpublic variety.

2019-10-01 05:58:21 What's even better is that apparently Kaya was the one who convinced the director that the character should be barefoot throughout the film, telling him something along the lines of "She's a swimmer, she'd be wearing flip flops and kick them off, she wouldn't be wearing boots." My love for this girl has no bounds! :)
