A bit late to the conversation but... this pic and no. 1347893 before it are from when Neha and a male co-star (Jackky Bhagnani according to what I've read) visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha in relation to a film she was involved in. Hindu temples do tend to impose a footwear prohibition and I wouldn't imagine that Siddhivinayak is any different... ...though then again, while Neha is barefoot in these pictures, Jackky is wearing shoes in no. 1347893 and in a few other pictures from this event which have not made their way here yet and I have pictures of various people attending the same temple whilst being visibly shod so it does seem acceptable to wear shoes at Siddhivinayak, or at least the outdoor portions thereof. I'm guessing that Neha is just that bit more committed to Hinduism and abides by the requirement for being unshod regardless of which bit of temple she is in or that, assuming that footwear is only to be removed when indoors as opposed to when being on any part of the temple grounds (n.b. that most pictures for this event were taken outdoors and the one or two pictures taken indoors were taken at waist height and don't really demonstrate whether Jackky joined Neha in being unshod at that point), she simply didn't feel like putting on shoes to go to the temple, taking them off when entering, and putting them back on once her business at the temple was concluded, and preferred to be barefoot throughout. Or maybe she did in fact want to be #barefootinpublic at the time of the photos being taken and the temple visit provided a convenient out. I don't think we'll ever know for sure.
