Japanese people live on islands with a lack of invasions, making them more homogenous than most other populations so likely there's less variation than elsewhere but there is still individual variation. Another contributing thing that makes people see similar is just a similar display style with (in my opinion) a gross overuse of white fuzzy glows and filters, killing detail, and making feet look outwardly similar. - Anyway, in short, not all the "same" but less variability compared to non-island areas

Agree 100%. Was disappointed in the movie, but she was a nice distraction. Nice to see she has feet almost on par with the beautiful face.
