#airborne #floater @Pig- Nice quote only we oldsters will appreciate, but I just saw that Ryan & Ali are to be reunited in a new 'love story' about an older couple. Turns out he says that was his first film, and was the most fun he'd ever had making a movie (he thought they'd *all* be like that!). They have remained close friends ever since, and he as much as said he's had a lifelong crush on her and thinks they have "unfinished business." #timewilltell |

2015-07-29 15:39:14 Yeah i remember that movie. That would be great if they reunited for a sequal. MacGraw still looks fantastic after all those years.

2015-07-29 15:42:52 Has Ryan and Tatum ever made peace with each other?
|
2015-07-29 15:49:21 @Piggy- I don't know. And the new movie isn't *exactly* a sequel; couldn't be, obviously, since in the first one (SPOILER ALERT!) she dies of leukemia. I'll find you the article. The movie is called "Love Letters." Here:

2015-07-29 15:56:57 I rather watch the getaway with steve McQueen when they where an item. Love stories are not my thing.

2015-07-29 16:02:48 Yeah, definitely one of the saddest movies ever, a real tear-jerker.
I've got the paperback also. I 'loved' the stylized 'LOVE' in the colored box logo, which became a major icon of the 70s, based on the cover of the book/movie: http://www.pophistorydig.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/1971-Paperback-1-250.jpg http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/95135/137904338/stock-photo-the-word-love-with-pace-symbol-in-a-stacked-color-block-design-type-style-is-my-own-creation-137904338.jpg |
2015-07-29 16:06:19 >"Love stories are not my thing."
They were mine, when I had my wife, the love of my life. Now let's just say I relate *way* more to Max Rockatansky. "And in this maelstrom of decay, ordinary men were battered and smashed... men like Max... the warrior Max. In the roar of an engine, he lost everything... and became a shell of a man... a burnt-out, desolate man, a man haunted by the demons of his past, a man who wandered out into the wasteland. And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again." Over a decade, and I'm still workin' on that last line. |

2015-07-29 17:21:54 Thats why I enjoy these movies. Ive learn through suffering and my own ordeals that your spirit grows ever stronger! What experiences you go through determines your character as a person. Mad Max went through the most brutal events of his life but he determined to press on even though his psyche has to be damaged.
