Help us reduce our reliance on ads
Okay, So here's the deal. wikiFeet is a completely 100% free site, and I aim to keep it that way. And so I rely heavily on ad revenue to keep the site running. Those ads can be excessive and intrusive at times, however since many consider wikiFeet not family-friendly, our options are limited. My vision for the future of the site is to have it ad free, or at least have very few feet related ads that are of actual interest to our community. That is why I'm trying to gradually shift the site toward relying on donations. If this works, and we have enough recurring donations, you should see less and less ads. If this works extra well, we could use the money to team up with celebrities and do some really cool stuff. To be clear: donations will be anonymous and donators will get nothing in return, but will help improve the wikiFeet experience for everyone. I think it goes in line with what we all do here anyway. A collaborative site built on common interest and the good will of its users, who devote time and care for the betterment of the entire community. Anyway, hope this wasn't too long of an explanation.
