This photoshoot happened quite some time ago, I believe. I don't have any details, but my best guess is that this shoot was a request from the photographer, so yeah, the intention here was clear. If my guess is incorrect, I'm sure someone will clarify. Another cosplay photographer known as Everage, similarly had female cosplayers pose barefoot.
