an actual buniuon has a medical standard measured past a certain angle of inward deviation (forget the exact angle) shown on x-rays. The knuckle at the base of the big toe is more prominent on some feet than others, esp those with longer narrower feet, and by itself is usually no bunion. Truth is some people have bunions in their brains.... Obvious ones are easy but seeing them everywhere a bonier woman's "knuckle" appears ids a little obsessive and medically incorrect.
