I'll admit to needing glasses, so I' just going by the numbers from the d/l. They're both 600x800 and 64.7 kb. Am I missing something?

@Slim, the pic at the link that Vis gave you is 1024 x 1365. If you replace the :large at the end of his link with :orig you can get the pic at the original resolution of 1307 x 1742.

Nice tip tj, does it not just inflate the res? Can't really tell with this pic since it's kinda blurry regardless of the res

Anything similar with instagram? I noticed a few pics in the link contain the res of the pic, such as this - https://scontent-lhr3-1.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/sh0.08/e35/p750x750/12825914_861015217338099_343416266_n.jpg?ig_cache_key=MTIwNzQxMjMzNzkyNjk4NzE2Ng%3D%3D.2 and when removing the p750x750/ the res goes from 750 x 805 to 806 x 866. Not all images have the pixel within the url though, so it's not possible to do all the time

@Vis, it provides the pic in its original resolution. The :large modifier is better than the smaller default twitter picture, but it is still a downsample of the original.

@Vis, I don't know of any tricks for instagram. I should note that on twitter :orig and :large can sometimes be the same resolution. If the original upload is somewhat small they will be the same. But AFAIK, the :orig modifier always gives the best available resolution. @Slim justified for you.

(You can also right-click on a blank portion of the page to get to it) Some guys use 'View Page Source' and dig around in the HTML for the image link. I don't/won't use Chrome, but dudes say there's an easy way to do it there, too.

Oh, i can already get the source image link from instagram, i was just wondering if instagram sneaked in a downsample code somewhere, so that the images could even be larger then the source one(for example check my post above, maybe instead of 750x750 i could type something else to get an even larger version of the pic,instead of removing the pixel code all together) . I use "image downloader" (ad on for chrome) instead of inspect element, as they both do the same thing, but image downloader is alot faster. Footsie, http://iconosquare.com/ also downsamples the images. If you open the image directly you have to edit the url. Example: https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/12751026_959580830803753_1903420937_n.jpg You need to remove s640x640/ and you will get the original res pic.
