(I'm guessing his 97 is '1897?') @KMJ- Little help here. In English, especially American, these are most likely seamed 'stockings' (old-school, thigh-high held up by garters or garter belt), although they do make seamed 'pantyhose' intended to mimic the retro seamed stocking look. 'Tights' usually refer to thick, opaque and often dark (black, navy blue, brown, burgundy, etc.) hosiery like pantyhose, but that you cannot see through at all (and not Wikifeet legal, whereas *sheer* hosiery is). |
